Casablanca – August 2012
TIMLIF, the media subsidiary of M2M Group (Casablanca Stock Exchange, Symbol M2M) announced today the launch of its TAMAM Program (TIMLIF Advanced Mediterranean and Arabic Movies) in support of the Mediterranean region filmmakers.
The Program aims to stimulate local film production in the region by providing financial and creative support during crucial stages of development, production and distribution.
The TAMAM Program policy is centered on three major principles:
• Editorial : The Program accepts universal stories provided that the stories told by filmmakers are written though a Mediterranean point of view.
• Financing: the Program provides co-financing mechanisms for the development of Mediterranean talents by supporting the writing stages of selected filmmakers. Each director and/or screenwriter will be nurtured through the development of selected scripts.
• Time line : The Program supports 12 projects each calendar session (6 by established filmmakers with a proven commercial and international film festival track record as well as 6 first time directors), featuring a large range of genres: comedy, action, drama, romance ...
TIMLIF’s creative and development executive team commits to help selected filmmakers deliver their vision to the screen. Accordingly, TIMLIF co-finances each script selected by the TAMAM Program and supports each filmmaker throughout the production and distribution process.
Recent recipient of the Program include Moroccan filmmaker Nour-Eddine Lakhmari (CASANEGRA, 2008), who received the Program full support for his second feature film, ZERO (www.zero-themovie.com), scheduled for national release in December 2012.
